From bdd55d2bef54554b2dfb0c7575200f58df05c9f6 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Chandler Carruth Date: Thu, 7 Nov 2013 00:23:08 +0000 Subject: Add the fact that we anticipate switching to use (some subset of) C++11 after the 3.4 release to the release notes. See the *lengthy* llvmdev and cfe-dev threads on this subject. There will be more emails, discussion and announcements, but I want to make noise in as many places as I can to get everyone's concerns voiced and understood. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@194183 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8 --- docs/ReleaseNotes.rst | 10 ++++++++++ 1 file changed, 10 insertions(+) (limited to 'docs') diff --git a/docs/ReleaseNotes.rst b/docs/ReleaseNotes.rst index 7b143f6..66b06a0 100644 --- a/docs/ReleaseNotes.rst +++ b/docs/ReleaseNotes.rst @@ -41,6 +41,16 @@ Non-comprehensive list of changes in this release functionality, or simply have a lot to talk about), see the `NOTE` below for adding a new subsection. +* This is expected to be the last release of LLVM which compiles using a C++98 + toolchain.
