* [DECNET]: Fix build regressions.David S. Miller2006-12-021-6/+0
| | | | | | Spotted by Arnaldo. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [NETLINK]: Do precise netlink message allocations where possibleThomas Graf2006-12-021-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Account for the netlink message header size directly in nlmsg_new() instead of relying on the caller calculate it correctly. Replaces error handling of message construction functions when constructing notifications with bug traps since a failure implies a bug in calculating the size of the skb. * [NET] rules: Share common attribute validation policyThomas Graf2006-12-021-5/+1
| | | | | | | | Move the attribute policy for the non-specific attributes into net/fib_rules.h and include it in the respective protocols. Signed-off-by: Thomas Graf <tgraf@suug.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [NET] rules: Protocol independant mark selectorThomas Graf2006-12-021-27/+0
| | | | | | | | Move mark selector currently implemented per protocol into the protocol independant part. Signed-off-by: Thomas Graf <tgraf@suug.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [NET]: Rethink mark field in struct flowiThomas Graf2006-12-021-11/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that all protocols have been made aware of the mark field it can be moved out of the union thus simplyfing its usage. The config options in the IPv4/IPv6/DECnet subsystems to enable respectively disable mark based routing only obfuscate the code with ifdefs, the cost for the additional comparison in the flow key is insignificant, and most distributions have all these options enabled by default anyway. Therefore it makes sense to remove the config options and enable mark based routing by default. Signed-off-by: Thomas Graf <tgraf@suug.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [DECNET]: Endianess fixes (try #2)Steven Whitehouse2006-11-071-2/+2
| | | | | | | Here are some fixes to endianess problems spotted by Al Viro. Signed-off-by: Steven Whitehouse <swhiteho@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [NETLINK]: Make use of NLA_STRING/NLA_NUL_STRING attribute validationThomas Graf2006-09-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Converts existing NLA_STRING attributes to use the new validation features, saving a couple of temporary buffers. Signed-off-by: Thomas Graf <tgraf@suug.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [DECNET]: Add support for fwmark masks in routing rulesPatrick McHardy2006-09-221-2/+18
| | | | | | | | | Add support for fwmark masks. For compatibility a mask of 0xFFFFFFFF is used when a mark value != 0 is sent without a mask. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Acked-by: Steven Whitehouse <steve@chygwyn.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [DECNET]: cleanupsAdrian Bunk2006-09-221-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | - make the following needlessly global functions static: - dn_fib.c: dn_fib_sync_down() - dn_fib.c: dn_fib_sync_up() - dn_rules.c: dn_fib_rule_action() - remove the following unneeded prototype: - dn_fib.c: dn_cache_dump() Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: David S. * [DECNET] Fix to decnet rules compare functionSteven Whitehouse2006-09-221-2/+2
| | | | | | | | Here is a fix to the DECnet rules compare function where we used 32bit values rather than 16bit values. Spotted by Patrick McHardy. Signed-off-by: Steven Whitehouse <steve@chygwyn.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [DECNET] Fix to multiple tables routingSteven Whitehouse2006-09-221-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Here is a fix to Patrick McHardy's increase number of routing tables patch for DECnet. I did just test this and it appears to be working fine with this patch. Signed-off-by: Steven Whitehouse <steve@chygwyn.com> Acked-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [DECNET]: Increase number of possible routing tables to 2^32Patrick McHardy2006-09-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Increase the number of possible routing tables to 2^32 by replacing the fixed sized array of pointers by a hash table and replacing iterations over all possible table IDs by hash table walking. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [DECNET]: Covert rules to use generic codeSteven Whitehouse2006-09-221-310/+184
| | | | | | | | | This patch converts the DECnet rules code to use the generic rules system created by Thomas Graf <tgraf@suug.ch>. Signed-off-by: Steven Whitehouse <steve@chygwyn.com> Acked-by: Thomas Graf <tgraf@suug.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* [NET]: Fix IPv4/DECnet routing rule dumpingPatrick McHardy2006-07-081-1/+2
| | | | | | | | When more rules are present than fit in a single skb, the remaining rules are incorrectly skipped. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* [DECnet]: Use RCU locking in dn_rules.cSteven Whitehouse2006-03-201-44/+53
| | | | | | | | | | | As per Robert Olsson's patch for ipv4, this is the DECnet version to keep the code "in step". It changes the list of rules to use RCU rather than an rwlock. * [DECnet]: Endian annotation and fixes for DECnet.Steven Whitehouse2006-03-201-9/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The typedef for dn_address has been removed in favour of using __le16 or __u16 directly as appropriate. All the DECnet header files are updated accordingly. The byte ordering of dn_eth2dn() and dn_dn2eth() are both changed since just about all their callers wanted network order rather than host order, so the conversion is now done in the functions themselves. Several missed endianess conversions have been picked up during the conversion process. The nh_gw field in struct dn_fib_info has been changed from a 32 bit field to 16 bits as it ought to be. One or two cases of using htons rather than dn_htons in the routing code have been found and fixed. There are still a few warnings to fix, but this patch deals with the important cases. * [NETLINK]: Correctly set NLM_F_MULTI without checking the pidJamal Hadi Salim2005-06-181-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch rectifies some rtnetlink message builders that derive the flags from the pid. It is now explicit like the other cases which get it right. Also fixes half a dozen dumpers which did not set NLM_F_MULTI at all. Signed-off-by: Jamal Hadi Salim <hadi@cyberus.ca> Signed-off-by: Thomas Graf <tgraf@suug.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
