* powerpc: remove OCP referencesKumar Gala2006-03-271-5/+0
| | | | | | OCP isn't used in arch/powerpc and hopefully will never be. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: Make early debugging configurable via KconfigMichael Ellerman2006-01-111-0/+42
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds Kconfig entries to control the early debugging options, currently in setup_64.c. Doing this via Kconfig rather than #defines means you can have one source tree, which is buildable for multiple platforms - and you can enable the correct early debug option for each platform via .config. I made udbg_early_init() a static inline because otherwise GCC is to daft to optimise it away when debugging is off. Now that we have udbg_init_rtas() we can make call_rtas_display_status* static. * [PATCH] Move Kprobes and Oprofile to "Instrumentation Support" menuPrasanna S Panchamukhi2005-11-071-10/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Andrew Morton suggested to move kprobes from kernel hacking menu, since kernel hacking menu is in-appropriate for the Kprobes. This patch moves Kprobes and Oprofile under instrumentation menu. (akpm: it's not a natural fit, but things like djprobes and the s390 guys' statistics library need a home) Signed-of-by: Prasanna S Panchamukhi <prasanna@in.ibm.com> Cc: Philippe Elie <phil.el@wanadoo.fr> Cc: John Levon <levon@movementarian.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* powerpc: Merge Kconfig.debugPaul Mackerras2005-10-101-3/+58
| | | | | | This merges in the ppc64 bits into arch/powerpc/Kconfig.debug Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* powerpc: make iSeries bootStephen Rothwell2005-10-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | Now that we use the device tree, it helps to build it in. It helps to links the kernel at the correct address. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au>
* powerpc: Merge enough to start building in arch/powerpc.Paul Mackerras2005-09-261-0/+73
This creates the directory structure under arch/powerpc and a bunch of Kconfig files. It does a first-cut merge of arch/powerpc/mm, arch/powerpc/lib and arch/powerpc/platforms/powermac. This is enough to build a 32-bit powermac kernel with ARCH=powerpc. For now we are getting some unmerged files from arch/ppc/kernel and arch/ppc/syslib, or arch/ppc64/kernel. This makes some minor changes to files in those directories and files outside arch/powerpc. The boot directory is still not merged. That's going to be interesting.
