* libata: sata_sis fixesUwe Koziolek2007-05-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | The sata_sis driver supports SATA and PATA ports. The broken support of both types in one controller is fixed. Signed-off-by: Uwe Koziolek <uwe.koziolek@gmx.net> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jeff@garzik.org>
* Fix build failure for drivers/ata/pata_scc.cTony Breeds2007-05-251-18/+28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The commit d4b2bab4f26345ea1803feb23ea92fbe3f6b77bc added deadline support to prereset and reset methods to libbata the pata_scc driver wasn't converted. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some SATA controllers (sata_sil) use 0xff to indicate port not ready status, not port empty. * | | | | md: fix bug with linear hot-add and elsewhereNeilBrown2007-05-232-11/+19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Adding a drive to a linear array seems to have stopped working, due to changes elsewhere in md, and insufficient ongoing testing... So the patch to make linear hot-add work in the first place introduced a subtle bug elsewhere that interracts poorly with older version of mdadm. This fixes it all up. * | | | | md: don't write more than is required of the last page of a bitmapNeilBrown2007-05-231-5/+12

So limit the last write to be only the required number of bytes, rounded up to the hard sector size of the device. * | | | | md: avoid overflow in raid0 calculation with large componentsNeilBrown2007-05-231-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If a raid0 has a component device larger than 4TB, and is accessed on a 32bit machines, then as 'chunk' is unsigned long, chunk << chunksize_bits can overflow (this can be as high as the size of the device in KB). chunk itself will not overflow (without triggering a BUG). So change 'chunk' to be 'sector_t, and get rid of the 'BUG' as it becomes impossible to hit.
