* [POWERPC] Replace remaining __FUNCTION__ occurrencesHarvey Harrison2008-04-011-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | __FUNCTION__ is gcc-specific, use __func__ Signed-off-by: Harvey Harrison <harvey.harrison@gmail.com> Cc: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] Add common clock setting routine mpc52xx_psc_set_clkdiv()Grant Likely2008-01-261-5/+5
| | | | | | | | PSC drivers should not access the CDM registers directly. Instead provide a common routine for setting the PSC clock parameters with the required locking. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
* [POWERPC] mpc5200: normalize compatible property bindingsGrant Likely2008-01-261-3/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Update MPC5200 drivers to also look for compatible properties in the form "fsl,mpc5200-*" to better conform to open firmware generic names recommended practice as published here: http://www.openfirmware.org/1275/practice/gnames/gnamv14a.html This patch should *not* break compatibility with older device trees which do not use the 'fsl,' prefix. The drivers will still bind against the older names also. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
* [POWERPC] mpc5200: eliminate mpc52xx_*_map_*() functions.Grant Likely2008-01-181-2/+8
| | | | | | | mpc5200 platform code defines a bunch of map functions which duplicate the functionality of of_iomap(). Remove them and use of_iomap() instead. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
* [POWERPC] mpc5200: Add common mpc52xx_setup_pci() routineMarian Balakowicz2008-01-181-11/+1
| | | | | | | | | This patch moves a generic pci init code from lite5200 platform file to a common mpc52xx_setup_pci() routine and adds additional compatibility property verification. Signed-off-by: Marian Balakowicz <m8@semihalf.com> Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
* [POWERPC] Enable restart support for lite5200 boardMarian Balakowicz2007-10-211-0/+4
| | | | | | | Use the watchdog timer to implement board restart support. Signed-off-by: Marian Balakowicz <m8@semihalf.com> Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
* Lite5200 shouldn't mess with ROOT_DEVGrant Likely2007-10-141-12/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | There is no good reason for board platform code to mess with the ROOT_DEV. Remove it from all in-tree platforms except powermac This is a follow on to commit 745e1027751acbc1f14f8bbef378b491242b9c83. The original patch had this change to lite5200.c, but it got dropped in the psycho madness that is the 2.6.24 merge window. * [POWERPC] MPC5200: Don't make firmware fixups into common codeGrant Likely2007-10-101-10/+49
| | | | | | | | | | | | The Lite5200 u-boot image doesn't entirely configure the processor correctly and so Linux needs to fixup the cpu setup in setup_arch. Fixing the CPU setup is good, but making it into common code is not a good idea. New board ports should be encouraged not to take the lead of the lite5200 and instead get their firmware to setup the CPU the right way. * [POWERPC] MPC52xx: Trim includes on mpc5200 platform support codeGrant Likely2007-10-101-20/+1
| | | | | | | Drop unnecessary includes for MPC5200 based boards Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Signed-off-by: Sylvain Munaut <tnt@246tnt.com>
* [POWERPC] MPC52xx: Drop show_cpuinfo platform hooks from Lite5200Grant Likely2007-10-101-15/+0
| | | | | | | This hook doesn't really add any new information. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Signed-off-by: Sylvain Munaut <tnt@246tnt.com>
* [POWERPC] MPC5200 low power modeDomen Puncer2007-09-191-5/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | Low-power mode implementation for Lite5200b. Some I/O registers are also saved here. A recent U-Boot that supports this (lite5200b_PM_config) is needed. * [POWERPC] Remove old includes from arch/ppcKumar Gala2007-08-221-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove includes of files that existed in arch/ppc that we dont need in arch/powerpc anymore. The following includes were removed: <asm/amigappc.h> <asm/bootinfo.h> <asm/ppcboot.h> <asm/ppc_sys.h> <asm/residual.h> <asm/m8260_pci.h> This also caused platforms/embedded6xx/mpc7448_hpc2.h to no longer be needed and thus removed. * [POWERPC] 52xx: sparse fixesDomen Puncer2007-07-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | | sparse caught these static functions / __iomem annotations under arch/powerpc/platform/52xx/ Signed-off-by: Domen Puncer <domen.puncer@telargo.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* [POWERPC] mpc52xx suspend to deep-sleepDomen Puncer2007-05-071-0/+28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Implement deep-sleep on MPC52xx. SDRAM is put into self-refresh with help of SRAM code (alternatives would be code in FLASH, I-cache). Interrupt code must also not be in SDRAM, so put it in I-cache. MPC52xx core is static, so contents will remain intact even with clocks turned off. * [POWERPC] Avoid putting cpu node twiceJohn Rigby2007-04-301-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | Call of_find_node_by_type with NULL instead of np so the cpu node does not get put twice. This was causing kref_put warnings. Signed-off-by: John Rigby <jrigby@freescale.com> Acked-by: Sylvain Munaut <tnt@246tNt.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

* [POWERPC] 52xx: Don't use device_initcall to probe of_platform_busSylvain Munaut2007-01-091-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Using device_initcall makes it happen for every platform that compiles this file in. This is really bad, for obvious reasons. Instead, we use the .init field of the machine description. If the platform needs the hook to do something specific it can provides its own function and call mpc52xx_declare_of_platform_devices from there. If not, the mpc52xx_declare_of_platform_devices function can directly be used as the init hook. * [POWERPC] Remove QE header files from lite5200.cTimur Tabi2006-12-081-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | The MPC 5200 does not have a QUICCEngine (QE), so lite5200.c should not include the QE header files. Signed-off-by: Timur Tabi <timur@freescale.com> Acked-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
