| | | | | | | | | | | | Due to confusion between the ftrace infrastructure and the gcc profiling tracer "ftrace", this patch renames the config options from FTRACE to FUNCTION_TRACER. The other two names that are offspring from FTRACE DYNAMIC_FTRACE and FTRACE_MCOUNT_RECORD will stay the same. This patch was generated mostly by script, and partially by hand. Some general cleanups are entailed. Storing mcount addresses in rec->ip enables looking them up in the kprobe hash table later on to check if they're kprobe'd. On x86 it is mcount, on sparc it is _mcount. So the export does not make sense in kernel/trace/ftrace.c - move it to x86. Also, we call it "gdt_page", and the descriptor, "early_gdt_descr". This way we achieve common naming, which can allow for more code integration.
