* | [PATCH] sched: balance timers | Nick Piggin | 2005-06-25 | 1 | -0/+8 | |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Do CPU load averaging over a number of different intervals. Allow each interval to be chosen by sending a parameter to source_load and target_load. 0 is instantaneous, idx > 0 returns a decaying average with the most recent sample weighted at 2^(idx-1). To a maximum of 3 (could be easily increased). So generally a higher number will result in more conservative balancing. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip! |
