* do_reset: unify duplicate prototypesMike Frysinger2010-11-281-1/+0
| | | | | | | The duplication of the do_reset prototype has gotten out of hand, and they're not all in sync. Unify them all in command.h. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* Remove support for CONFIG_HAS_UID and "forceenv" commandWolfgang Denk2010-09-191-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | This (undocumented) concept was only in use for the MVSMR and davinci_schmoogie Sergey Kubushyn <ksi@koi8.net> boards. Drop it for now. If really needed, it should be reimplemented later in the context of the new environment command set. * Make sure that argv[] argument pointers are not modified.Wolfgang Denk2010-07-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The hush shell dynamically allocates (and re-allocates) memory for the argument strings in the "char *argv[]" argument vector passed to commands. Any code that modifies these pointers will cause serious corruption of the malloc data structures and crash U-Boot, so make sure the compiler can check that no such modifications are being done by changing the code into "char * const argv[]". This modification is the result of debugging a strange crash caused after adding a new command, which used the following argument processing code which has been working perfectly fine in all Unix systems since version 6 - but not so in U-Boot: int main (int argc, char **argv) { while (--argc > 0 && **++argv == '-') { /* ====> */ while (*++*argv) { switch (**argv) { case 'd': debug++; break; ... default: usage (); } } } ... } The line marked "====>" will corrupt the malloc data structures and usually cause U-Boot to crash when the next command gets executed by the shell. With the modification, the compiler will prevent this with an error: increment of read-only location '*argv' N.B.: The code above can be trivially rewritten like this: while (--argc > 0 && **++argv == '-') { char *arg = *argv; while (*++arg) { switch (*arg) { ... * Make *printf() return "int" instead of "void"Wolfgang Denk2010-07-041-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Change the return type of the *printf() functions to the standard "int"; no changes are needed but returning the already available length count. This will save a few additional strlen() calls later... Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* Generic udelay() with watchdog supportIngo van Lil2009-12-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | According to the PPC reference implementation the udelay() function is responsible for resetting the watchdog timer as frequently as needed. Most other architectures do not meet that requirement, so long-running operations might result in a watchdog reset. This patch adds a generic udelay() function which takes care of resetting the watchdog before calling an architecture-specific __udelay(). Signed-off-by: Ingo van Lil <inguin@gmx.de>
* ppc: Remove reloc_off field from global_data structurePeter Tyser2009-10-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that proper relocation is supported, the reloc_off field is no longer necessary. Note that the location of the standalone application jump table pointer in the global data structure is affected by this change, breaking execution of standalone applications compiled for previous versions of U-Boot. We therefore increment XF_VERSION to 6 Signed-off-by: Peter Tyser <ptyser@xes-inc.com> Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* export SPI functions to standalone appsMike Frysinger2009-08-091-1/+2

* UBI: Add basic UBI support to U-Boot (Part 6/8)Kyungmin Park2008-11-191-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds basic UBI (Unsorted Block Image) support to U-Boot. It's based on the Linux UBI version and basically has a "OS" translation wrapper that defines most Linux specific calls (spin_lock() etc.) into no-ops. Some source code parts have been uncommented by "#ifdef UBI_LINUX". This makes it easier to compare this version with the Linux version and simplifies future UBI ports/bug-fixes from the Linux version. * Make setenv() return statusSteven A. Falco2008-07-011-1/+1

* [ARM] TI DaVinci support, hopefully finalSergey Kubushyn2007-08-101-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add support for the following DaVinci boards: - DV_EVM - SCHMOOGIE - SONATA Changes: - Split into separate board directories - Removed changes to MTD_DEBUG (or whatever it's called) - New CONFIG_CMD party line followed - Some cosmetic fixes, cleanup etc. - Patches against the latest U-Boot tree as of now. - Fixed CONFIG_CMD_NET in net files. - Fixed CONFIG_CMD_EEPROM for schmoogie. - Made sure it compiles and works (forceenv() link problem) on SCHMOOGIE and DV_EVM. Can't check if it works on SONATA, don't have a board any more, but it at least compiles. Here is an excerpt from session log on SCHMOOGIE...
