* mtd: sa1100-flash: convert to mtd_device_register()Jamie Iles2011-05-251-15/+6
| | | | | | | | | Convert to mtd_device_register() and remove the CONFIG_MTD_PARTITIONS preprocessor conditionals as partitioning is always available. * mtd: drop CONFIG_MTD_CONCAT ifdefsDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2011-03-111-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | | As MTD_CONCAT is becoming a part of mtd core, it's now meaningless to to check for it in ifdefs. Drop such references from MTD code. * mtd: maps/sa1100: fix section mismatchDmitry Artamonow2009-10-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit f0b1e589 changed sa1100_mtd_probe from __init to __devinit, but missed to correct sa1100_setup_mtd definition accordingly, which causes following warning: WARNING: vmlinux.o(.devinit.text+0xf4): Section mismatch in reference from the function sa1100_mtd_probe() to the function .init.text:sa1100_setup_mtd() The function __devinit sa1100_mtd_probe() references a function __init sa1100_setup_mtd(). | * [MTD] [MAPS] move sa1100 flash's probe function to .devinit.textUwe Kleine-König2009-04-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A pointer to sa1100_mtd_probe is passed to the core via platform_driver_register and so the function must not disappear when the .init sections are discarded. Otherwise (if also having HOTPLUG=y) unbinding and binding a device to the driver via sysfs will result in an oops as does a device being registered late. An alternative to this patch is using platform_driver_probe instead of platform_driver_register plus removing the pointer to the probe function from the struct platform_driver. | | | | | | | | | Remove includes of asm/hardware.h in addition to asm/arch/hardware.h. Then, since asm/hardware.h only exists to include asm/arch/hardware.h, update everything to directly include asm/arch/hardware.h and remove asm/hardware.h. * MTD/JFFS2: remove CVS keywordsAdrian Bunk2008-06-041-2/+0

* [MTD] [MAPS] fix platform driver hotplug/coldplugKay Sievers2008-04-221-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since 43cc71eed1250755986da4c0f9898f9a635cb3bf, the platform modalias is prefixed with "platform:". Add MODULE_ALIAS() to the hotpluggable MTD mapping platform drivers, to re-enable auto loading. NOTE oddness with physmap ... it's a legacy driver in some configs, which means it can't always support hotplugging. (Not that most of these mapping drivers would often be used as modules...) * | [PATCH] DRIVER MODEL: Get rid of the obsolete tri-level suspend/resume callbacksRussell King2005-10-281-4/+4
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In PM v1, all devices were called at SUSPEND_DISABLE level. Then all devices were called at SUSPEND_SAVE_STATE level, and finally SUSPEND_POWER_DOWN level. However, with PM v2, to maintain compatibility for platform devices, I arranged for the PM v2 suspend/resume callbacks to call the old PM v1 suspend/resume callbacks three times with each level in order so that existing drivers continued to work. Since this is obsolete infrastructure which is no longer necessary, we can remove it. Here's an (untested) patch to do exactly that. * [ARM] Don't include mach-types.h unnecessarilyRussell King2005-09-291-1/+0

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
