* ARM: omap: dmtimer: add omap_dm_timer_dump_regs functionRom Lemarchand2012-05-211-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | Add the omap_dm_timer_dump_regs function. If CONFIG_OMAP_DM_TIMER_DEBUG is set, then this function dumps the dm timer registers. Otherwise, turn into a noop. Change-Id: I132eec2b611620058242db661c2c546c690d952c Signed-off-by: Rom Lemarchand <rlemarchand@sta.samsung.com>
* OMAP: remove unused context lost pointer.Axel Haslam2011-09-071-2/+0
| | | | | | | Context lost pointers are no longer used with the introduction of omap_pm_was_context_lost Signed-off-by: Axel Haslam <axelhaslam@ti.com>
* omap: dmtimer: Added sync mechanism for Exported APIsPradeep Bhat2011-08-301-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Added spin_lock_irqxxx around the exported API calls for protecting the omap_dm_timer data structure. Since the APIs can be called in irq context the spin_lock irqs are used. Each Timer data structure has its own spinlock_t and provides critical section protection. Change-Id: I2ed7b863bba90996a74643e26667d3c5a2db44e8 Signed-off-by: Pradeep Bhat <pradeep.bhat@ti.com>
* omap: dmtimer: Error Handling, API state managementPradeep Bhat2011-08-301-15/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Added proper error handling in exported API calls. Properly handled timer state, "enabled", for proper API and timer data structure consistency. Fixed potential problems in usage of APIs. For instance calling stop and then free would result in call to pm_runtime_put_sync_suspend twice. Fixed this issue. Set the context_saved to false in omap_dm_timer_free. Added return types for exported APIs to indicate error situations and for callers to act appropriately. * OMAP: dmtimer: Off mode supportTarun Kanti DebBarma2011-07-141-1/+34
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Clock is enabled only when timer is started and disabled when the the timer is stopped. Therefore before accessing registers in functions clock is enabled and then disabled back at the end of access. Context save and restore functions are called as needed. * dmtimer: switch-over to platform device driverTarun Kanti DebBarma2011-07-141-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | switch-over to platform device driver through following changes: (a) initiate dmtimer early initialization from omap2_gp_timer_init() in timer-gp.c. This is equivalent of timer_init()->timer->init(). (b) modify plat-omap/dmtimer routines to use new register map and platform data. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add dmtimer platform driver functions which include: (1) platform driver initialization (2) driver probe function (3) driver remove function Change-Id: I9685739df2c630bf49bdaa88d858886d917b5ac8 [girishsg@ti.com: Fixed review comments] Signed-off-by: Girish S G <girishsg@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Tarun Kanti DebBarma <tarun.kanti@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Thara Gopinath <thara@ti.com> Acked-by: Cousson, Benoit <b-cousson@ti.com>
* OMAP2+: dmtimer: convert to platform devicesTarun Kanti DebBarma2011-07-141-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add routines to converts dmtimers to platform devices. The device data is obtained from hwmod database of respective platform and is registered to device model after successful binding to driver. It also provides provision to access timers during early boot when pm_runtime framework is not completely up and running. * OMAP4: hwmod data: add dmtimer version informationTarun Kanti DebBarma2011-07-141-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | OMAP4 has two groups of timers: version 1 timers are 1, 2, 10, while the rest of the timers, 3-9, 11 are version 2 timers. The version information is required by the driver so that they could be handled correctly by it.
